A hammer is a tool that strikes an object to move or deform it. Most commonly used to drive nails, straighten or knock objects apart. Hammers come in a variety of forms, the most common being a handle and a top.
One side of the top is flat for striking and the other side is the hammer head. The hammer head can be shaped like a claw's horn or wedge-shaped, and its function is to pull out a nail. There is also a rounded hammer head.
When the hammer mass is doubled, the energy is doubled, and when the speed is doubled, the energy is increased by 4 times. Therefore, in order to be safe, when using a hammer, you must choose the right hammer and master the speed of the blow.
When using a hand hammer, it should be noted that the connection between the hammer head and the hammer handle must be firm. If there is a slight loosening, the wedge should be tightened immediately or the hammer handle should be replaced. The length of the handle of the hammer must be moderate. Experience provides a more suitable length to hold the hammer The length of the head and the forearm is equal to the length of the hand hammer; when a small hitting force is required, the hand swing method can be used, and when a strong hitting force is required, the arm swing method should be used; when using the arm swing method, attention should be paid to The movement arc of the hammer head and the handle of the hammer should not be contaminated by grease.
The following points should be noted when using a sledgehammer:
(1) The connection between the hammer head and the handle must be firm. If the hammer head and the hammer handle are loose, and the hammer handle has splits and cracks, it must not be used. The wedge between the hammer head and the hammer handle in the installation hole is preferably a metal wedge, and the length of the wedge should not be greater than 2/3 of the depth of the installation hole.
(2) In order to have a certain elasticity when hitting, the middle of the handle at the top is slightly narrower than the end.
(3) When using the sledgehammer, you must pay attention to the front, back, left and right, up and down, and it is strictly forbidden to stand in the range of the sledgehammer, and it is not allowed to hit each other with the sledgehammer and the small hammer.
(4) The hammer head is not allowed to be quenched, cracks and burrs are not allowed, and the burrs and burrs should be trimmed in time.
The claw hammer can be used for knocking, hammering, and pulling nails, but the claw hammer should not be used for hammering larger workpieces. When nailing nails, the hammer head should strike the nail cap flat, so that the nails enter the wood vertically. When pulling out the nails, a block of wood should be placed at the horn to enhance the pulling force. The horn hammer should not be used as a pry tool, and attention should be paid to hammering. The surface is flat and intact to prevent the nails from flying out or the hammer slipping off and hurting people.
